You're invited NOT to attend...

JOMO No-Show

a fundraiser for the freire schools

When: Monday, June 10, 2019 at 6:00 PM
Where: Your home—or wherever you like!

From constant connection to work and news via our devices to a never-ending stream of dinners, cocktail parties, and events, our time is always in demand. Too often we’re stretched tight between the need to take a moment to care for ourselves and our fear of missing out. On June 10, Freire Schools invites you to spend the night at home doing what you love—all in support of our amazing students.

Let’s take this night to disconnect—and in so doing, make space to reconnect and show gratitude to ourselves, our families, and the people and places that mean the most to us. At Freire, we’re grateful for friends like you, whose generous support allows us to go above and beyond for our students and provide a creative and life-changing education.

This year, instead of attending a fundraiser, take a break with us—and support Freire Schools by sending the most generous gift you can with your RSVP.

Along with the freedom to take a night to relax, Freire’s JOMO No-Show Fundraiser comes with joy of knowing that 100% of your donation directly supports Freire students, our schools, and our future.

Who We Are

Kelly portrait.png

“At Freire Schools, we believe that when kids create, they build the future.”

Dr. Kelly Davenport, Founder, Freire Schools

For the past two decades, Freire Schools has provided an exceptional and dynamic education to students from neighborhoods that have weathered historic and systemic hardship. Serving 2,000 students across four campuses in Philadelphia and Wilmington, Freire Schools are among the highest performing families of public charter schools in the region, proving every day that all children can achieve when given access to a rigorous, creative and inspiring education.

Freire Schools provide students in underserved communities a top-tier learning experience with a focus on individual freedom, critical thinking, and problem solving in an environment that emphasizes the values of community, teamwork, and nonviolence. We are four distinct schools in two different cities, each guided by the same principles of equality, diversity, mutual respect and critical thought.
